About

My name is Adam Smith, and I’m an alumnus of UC Berkeley and a retired banking professional based in Martha’s Vineyard. Now that I no longer have to worry about work, I spend most of my time traveling. They say retirees no longer have the luxury to make their dreams come true because times are tough. As a banking professional, I believe it’s still about saving up for the future. I made my dreams happen because I prepared for it. Now I am a retiree fulfilling the items on my bucket list.

Right now, my goal is to explore Europe, and I started by staying a few months in Paris. My goal has been to get better at a new language and to live in a foreign city. So far, my plan is working well.  Aside from my love for travel, I’m also passionate about mystery stories. This is the reason I enjoy police TV dramas and thriller novels. My stay in Paris has even given me ideas for a thriller novel. Maybe staying in this city is boosting my creativity.

Of course, I’m also a fan of sports. As a UC Berkeley alumnus, my allegiance belongs to Cal Berkeley. Even if I’m  away from home, I need to stay in the loop when it comes to college football.
